MRCP uk part 1 procedure

 MRCP UK part 1 who are eligible for the examination ?

--who have passed their final examination 1 year back that means you must have a 1 year gap from your final examination. this is called your primary medical qualification(PMQ). I passed final examination that held in January 2018 so show my date of issue is 2018 January 1( in registration section you will find this option)

What are the documents need to submit for mrcp part 1?

• PMQ certificate ( to form fill up) • NID or passport (on the exam day only)

then how should I proceed from the very beginning for applying ?

first search in Google "MRCP UK" open the Page. then find for MY MRCP UK,click on it, here as you are new you have to register. then you will find a register option at the top left, you click register here, you will see some boxes ,fill up it , click next after one page is completed. Here confusing thing is the "date of issue". It is your PMQ date,that is your final exam date. I have given photograph of my certificate for your understanding, according to it,it is 01,01,2018. that is the year of your final examination. I told you my final examination held on January 2018 so it will be 01,01, 2018. then you fill up the other options and finally you will get an email. then login to your email and from that confirm your registration. after confirming, by using your user name and password log in. It is just an account. Don't get hesitated if you make any mistake, you can change any information at any time. It is not your exam document. Then check and provide any information from your account.you will find edit option in your account. Any one can open this account, it doesn't mean you are a examinee or you must have to attend the exam.

Then search for upcoming exam in your account.

go to exam history. here you will find the upcoming exams. now they will show you when u can apply and for which exam you can apply. you must apply during the period they . that is about 90 days from the upcoming exam. suppose I attended in January 7, 2020 exam so had to apply within September 7 to 16, 2019.

 when the period is open for applying  fill up all the options. this is nothing. this is just your year of exam,if you are a trainee in UK or outside etc. after completion of application for exam, will find the pay option. Can pay immediately or later. If you submit application then in exam history will find pay(cash or online) option later.  Online pay is very easy for non EU resident. for online pay contact with someone who can pay  in pound (UK)having MasterCard ,Visa card etc. contact at least 1 week earlier with bank or by whom you will pay, need time to make this payment process ready by bank. To  pay username and password needed. after paying will get your RCP code number. then will get email showing they have received your money. Then they will say '' your application is incomplete, please provide primary medical qualification certificate.’’

How can I submit PMQ?

First get photocopy of MBBS or equivalents medical certificate provided by your medical college or university. photocopy quality should be good. get it attested(see attestation section in FAQ section in MRCPUK for who can do it) I have done it by British council,in Dhaka University area.with main and photocopy go there,tell need attestation,pay fee 300 taka, after 3 days collect it. Thenscan the attested copy both side, convert it to PDF form, pdf size be less than 2MB. Save the copy.email this scan copy to an address said by MRCP UK. Can find this address in your email, or in your exam history. They will say what  the subject of email , it is usually, ""PRIMARY  MEDICAL QUALIFICATION… space… RCP CODE NO."" If you do attest earlier U can send quickly. After paying fee,and getting RCP CODE  will get few days more to submit your PMQ.

after submitting PMQ will get an email,that they received it. If any information needed they will ask you again. Suppose your PMQ certificate seems to be fake or not clear. This usually never happen. They will take about 4 weeks time to confirm your booking. don't get hesitated. It may take a long time to get confirmation, but as you paid it is unlikely you will not be able to participate.  if you need any information you can email them. they are very helpful. about 5 to 6 weeks before exam you will get your exam documents showing date, time and venue.

 Print its first page, you just print it out, and sign it. Signature must be as same as your ID (NID or passport)

 On  exam day bring that printed document and ID.

Exam Hall and afterwards

Any electric device, pen,mobile etc not allowed. can carry water bottle without sticker, we got water from a filter in exam hall and tissue paper. 1 to 1.30 hour break between the papers. Question book and answer sheet is individualized for each candidate. It has printed your roll number . can use eraser to erase any answers. Carefully handle answer sheet,as they will not be able to provide extra one. The examiners are local British council staff, they are so cooperative. Bring own food and beverage, 8 hour long exam.

Wait outside exam hall, during check in time stand in a row, they will check id, search for any illegal object,then enter the hall. Ask guide your seat or find it outside exam hall.sit down, You will get pencil,eraser, sharpner on your desk, a question book( just like passmedicine hard copy), an OMR answer sheet. Fill up your rcp code no., surname and initial (written on your table). has paper 1 and paper 2(each for 3 hour with 1 hour break). wait for question paper, exam start announcement, you will get exact 3 hour. If examiner make any late you will get extra time,after 3 hour will announce exam over, close question book and wait until they announce to leave the hall. For any kind of problem in exam hall raise your hand, examiner come to you, tell your problem.
